Zbigniew Paszkowicz appointed the new CEO of ORLEN Lietuva

Zbigniew Paszkowicz, who has 30 years of experience in the energy sector, has been appointed CEO of ORLEN Lietuva, a public company owned by the Polish capital group ORLEN. The new CEO of ORLEN Lietuva, which operates a refinery in Mažeikiai and terminals in Būtingė and Mockava, took office on 5 November.

‘I am grateful to the board of ORLEN Lietuva for the confidence shown in appointing me as the CEO of the company operating in Lithuania. We have ambitious goals to deal with the challenges of the market together with a highly motivated team in Mažeikiai, Būtingė and Mockava,’ pointed Zbigniew Paszkowicz, the new CEO of ORLEN Lietuva.

Mr Paszkowicz added that as the entire ORLEN Group is transitioning  to new forms of energy, the Polish capital group welcomes new investments in Lithuania, especially in the field of renewable energy.

Mr Paszkowicz gained almost 25 years of experience in the energy sector at LOTOS, starting as a specialist at the Gdansk refinery and advancing to the position of Vice President of the company. The refinery is now part of the ORLEN Group.

The new CEO of ORLEN Lietuva graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from the Institute of Ship Research at the Gdansk University of Technology, and later graduated from the French École Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs with an engineer’s diploma from the Centre for Higher Studies in Combustion Engines and Hydrocarbon Utilisation.
